The collection contains two Chesterfield County, Va., tax receipts, 1853 and 1857, including one for a freedman; letter, 1873 Aug. 27, from U. Va. student W.W. Larkin re: plans to give up law studies for business; photograph, ca. 1927, of the gas station and cafe of Mathew Jackson, Disputanta, the first black owned Greyhound bus stop; and 27 portraits of actresses on silk ribbons included in "Old Mill" cigarette packets.
